How to convert minutes to decimal
Divide the minutes by 60. An hour has 60 minutes, so the division tells you what share of an hour those minutes make up. 41 minutes ÷ 60 = 0.6833, and rounded to two decimal places that is 0.68.
Round only at the end, and only as far as the destination needs. Payroll and timesheet fields usually hold two decimal places, so 0.6833 becomes 0.68 and 0.3333 becomes 0.33. Keep the full value if you are adding several entries first, then round the total, otherwise small rounding errors stack up.

Minutes to hundredths of an hour
Hundredths is the payroll term for this two-decimal form. One hundredth of an hour is 0.6 minutes, or 36 seconds, so a timesheet field with two decimal places is really counting hundredths of an hour rather than minutes.
Because one minute is not a whole number of hundredths, some hundredths never appear when whole minutes are converted: 4 minutes is 0.07 and 5 minutes is 0.08, so no whole minute produces 0.06 or 0.09. Time clocks that record hundredths skip those values entirely.
